"Why I want to be a doctor""When I was a child I got very sick and my mom lost all hope of me surviving, but a doctor came and saved my life. Since that moment, I felt the passion to help others, so that one day I too could save someones life." - Phillips

JOIN US IN HELPING PHILLIPSWhile NZE lends itself as a "helping hand" to Philips, we do not cover all costs. NZE pays for tuition and supplies, but it is the student's responsibility to pay for any other costs that may arise. NZE firmly believes that student's must help themselves before we can help, and Philips has shown that he is capable of covering his side of the expenses by working at the local market place. NZE is funding Phillips to complete his medical schooling. He has accomplished his first term and will be starting his 2nd term in June 2015.
We would like to ask for your support by donating $25, $50 or $100 to help support Phillips in his 2nd medical academic term. We have included PayPal as well as other credit cards for your convenience. NZE Foundation is a 501(c)3, your donation to help Phillips achieve his dram of becoming a doctor could also be a tax write off*. Please check with your CPA/Accountant. Meet PhillipsMy name is Lakor Phillips. I live in Gulu (northern uganda), with my mom (my best friend) and my three siblings. I AM "A DOCTOR". I call myself that because I believe one day I will become one. I feel that those who truly desire something, achieve their dreams. Being a doctor is my passion in life. I am a young adult with a sound, focused and determined mind to achieve greater goals. I want to gain empowerment so I may reach out to others to empower them in achieving their dreams.
I LOVE MEDICAL WORK SO MUCH. I am very social, welcoming, with a big heart. I believe that change can start with one person reaching out to others and together we can make this world a better place. I want to pay it forward by giving back to my community. |
